Xbox 360 Scratch Game Discs

July 14th, 2007 by Mr. Mai Tai

A group of consumers has just filed a class action law suit against Microsoft saying the XBox 360 scratches game discs and makes them unusable. I don’t have an Xbox 360 but I do have other game consoles. When games cost $50-$60 I go through a lot of effort to make sure I don’t scratch my discs. The console better take just as good care as of the discs. That is a great racket thy have. Built in way to make your discs unusable and you have to go out and buy another.

Spook Hill, Lake Wales, Florida

July 14th, 2007 by Mr. Mai Tai

If you ever are in Central Florida and want to see one of the local attractions you need to see Spook Hill. Spook Hill is located in Lake Wales, Florida and is just a short drive from the Disney area. There is even a story that explains the mysterious phenomena. This is the story posted on the sign right next to the hill.

“Many years ago an Indian village on Lake Wales was plagued by raids of a huge gator. The Chief, a great warrior, killed the gator in a battle that created a small lake. The chief was buried on the north side. Pioneer mail riders first discovered their horses laboring down hill, thus naming it “Spook Hill.” When the road was paved, cars coasted up hill. Is this the gator seeking revenge, or the chief still trying to protect his land?”

I have traveled quite a bit and I have seen quite a few versions of Spook Hill. There is the Magic Hill, Booger Hill, Acid Hill and countless others. They are all gravity hills and I think many have a supernatural story behind them. Still it is kind of cool to see your car roll uphill.
