Budweiser Chelada
July 28th, 2007 by Mr. Mai Tai
What do you get when you mix the delicious taste of clams, tomatoes and beer? You get the Budweiser Chelada. Budweiser has mixed Clamato with beer and now offers you this new taste sensation. It will come in the original Budweiser Chelada and for those calorie conscious drinkers they will have Bud Light Chelada. Finally, Budweiser has created a drink everyone will enjoy.

I love this stuff. I’ve only been able to find it in Nevada in 24oz. cans Please tell me if it will be in Az. I’ve Been drinking Bud for thirty years or more and I do ocassionally like a red beer but I’ve never been able to create anything nearly as good as Chelada.

Thanks for all of the interest in this post. Many of you have asked where can I buy it? I have no idea. I do not work for Anheuser Busch so I have no control over where you will find the product. I believe they are still test marketing the beverage. So if you are in one of the lucky areas enjoy it. If the product does well maybe it will be introduced nationwide. Then everyone can enjoy the clammy goodness of the chelada.

I agree with Tracy. I found it in houston on vacation also its everywhere down there. I stocked up on my way back. I love it but we don’t have it around here (Tulsa OK) We are a 3.2 state so it may not be availiable here. if you add tomato juice to your beer your troubles are over. You will love this new beer ( Bravo Budweiser)

This stuff sounds good, but it’s hella gross. Too much salt…
There is a reason why bloody mary’s and beer are two different drinks.
Stay away

I have been mixing chelada’s for about five years now, and it is hard to mix just right. Budweiser chelada has in my opinion one of the best mixtures I have ever tasted. You really have to like tomato juice to enjoy, but it is one of the best hangover remedies.
My friend works for Budweiser and said it will be in all markets in January.

Xavier is right. The mix is great. I was very skeptical when I saw it. Then I remembered the scene in Jerry McGuire where the hot football kid’s Dad asked Jerry if he wants a beer & tomato juice. Did I get this right? Anyway Bud made the perfect mix. Much more interesting than a cummy Bud & you Bud drinkers know what I mean. A.B. please market this in NYC so I can get it. Great product. btw to all beer makers. email me if you would like me to test your product.

This is great! I found it in Alabama, drank three, and bought 12 to bring home.
It’s a good idea, but you can’t mix this correctly at home.
I can’t find it at home, but hopefully it will be here soon.

This is the greatest thing EVER!!!!!! I’m totally addicted. I was intrigued when I saw it in my grocery store’s beer section, and I figured what the heck. It either has to be really good or really gross. I can’t get enough of that wonderful clammy stuff!

I tried this stuff on a dare and fell in love!! I worry about how much salt is in it but it really goes down smooth. I hope they keep making it.

I am a bud girl in the Chicago area. Just to let you know if you can’t find a product made by AB in the stores, you can dial 1-800-Dial Bud and they will tell where the product can be found.

Unlike those of you who are commenting on something you have never tasted…
I drink it all the time, and if you like bloody beer Chelada is GREAT!

I have been making this drink for 30 some years now. AB has nailed it. Remeber, the Bloody Mary was invented with tomato juice and beer before vodka was introduced. Canada really invented Clamato juice and beer, A Bloody Caesar. I love this drink therefor, I dont drive allot. Great sailing drink.
