Dog the Bounty Hunter is in the news again. He is all clear in Mexico but the bond is still out on him in the U.S. The full story on Dog is here. When I was in Oahu I made sure I had his information in case I found myself in trouble with the law.

Update 11/1/07
Seems like Dog jumps from on frying pan into another. He had is Mexico problems. Now A&E has suspended production on his show until they can investigate further. Seems that in a phone conversion with his son he said a few racially insensitive things. In other words he dropped an N bomb or three.

Gone are the days of having to carry a metal flask. Pocket Shots is alcohol sealed in a pouch that you can take with you. Now you can drink like an astronaut. If you like vodka, rum, tequila, whiskey or gin there is a Pocket Shot for you. Right now they are only available in Colorado, California, Arizona, New Mexico and Wisconsin but they promise it will be nationwide soon enough. Has anyone out there tried a Pocket Shot? I am guessing this is not high quality hooch. I can’t imagine Grey Goose would want their vodka packaged in a plastic pouch.

Not only do we have to worry about sharks we have to worry about giant jellyfish. I can’t imagine swimming into a 25 pound glob of stinging goo that stings.

Even on my drunkest of days I would never climb in a bear cage.
A 23-year old Serb was found dead and half-eaten in the bear cage of Belgrade Zoo at the weekend during the annual beer festival.

I guess the thief was not a Hulkamaniac.
A burglar made off with approximately $100,000 worth of jewelry from the home of wrestling champion Hulk Hogan, authorities said. Hogan’s family was moving out of the home when the theft of a platinum diamond watch and two dog tags was noticed, according to a Miami Beach Police Department report.
Hogan’s son Nicholas told officers he had left the items wrapped in a T-shirt in an upstairs closet. When he went to get them at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, they were gone.
Hogan was born Terrence Gene Bollea. He recently starred with his family in the reality television show “Hogan Knows Best.” It was not clear where the family was moving.

Every Star Wars fan needs one of these. The head houses a DLP projector. The front has a DVD/CD player and a docking station for an Ipod with built in speakers. It comes with a Milennium Falcon model that conceals the remote control. It can all be yours for the low price of $2799.95. If any generous person would like to buy me one you can purchase it here.

This is a classic drink. Martini’s came back big a few years ago. I think this is going to be the next one to make a big comeback. Here is the recipe:
- 3/4 oz. Sweet Vermouth
- 2 1/2 oz. Bourbon (I like Maker’s Mark but you can choose one to your taste)
- Dash Angostura Bitters (some recipes leave this out, the choice is yours)
- 2 or 3 Ice Cubes
Combine these ingredients in a mixing glass. Stir gently making sure not to bruise the alcohol. Pour the drink over a cherry in a martini glass. If you want an added touch you can take an orange peel and rub the rim of the glass with the peel.

I had no idea the Czech Republic had a Research Institute for Brewing and Malting. Why doesn’t the United States have one of these? That would have to be one of the best jobs. The Institute for Brewing and Malting has recently come up with a non-alcoholic beer for women in menopause. The beer is chock full of hormone goodness. The beer is still in its research stage and is not available for purchase. I wonder what they are going to call it.
