When you combine people with angry bulls you know something bad is bound to happen. However, when you add alcohol, peer pressure and a festival with lots of exuberant people you tend to forget about the bad things. Then suddenly you are snapped back into reality when an 800 pound bull inserts its horn into your lower leg. The next time you think messing around with a bull is a good idea take a good long look at this picture.

In California there is this guy Jim Denevan that creates sand art on the beach. He doesn’t make sand castles or sand sculptures. He freehand draws pictures in the sand. It doesn’t sound like much but the pictures are huge and impressive. You can check his work here.

The basic recipe for sangria is as follows:
- Red Wine
- Brandy
- Cointreu or Triple Sec
- Sugar
- Citrus Juices
- Sliced Citrus Fruit
That concoction of wine and spirits is illegal in Virginia. Who knew? Since 1934 the state of Virginia has prohibited the mixing of beer and wine with spirits. I have no idea why this is prohibited. Who would have thought that mixing a few simple ingredients together could get you a fine. I know that we will all sleep better tonight knowing that the state of Virginia is using its resouces wisely and is keeping us safe from the Spanish menace sangria.

I went to the FX Show that was held in Orlando this past weekend. It was a good time. While there we saw a quick show by The Enigma. The Enigma is a modern day sideshow freak. He is tattooed from what I can tell from head to toe. He was not born with any abnormalities so I guess you could say he is a self made sideshow freak. He spoke for awhile and then demonstrated a few of his talents. Among other things Enigma is a human blockhead. He went on to show us how he could drive a spike through his nose into his head with a hammer. It was tough to watch. Then he topped that by performing the same routine. This time with a power drill. He also had a grinder with him and some long pins. I can only assume he was going to take those pins and pull them through an arm or cheek. Thankfully, he had a limited time on stage and he did not get to it.

When an animal attacks a person there is a good chance the person had it coming. That is not always the case. Some animals will kick you just for the heck of it. The kangaroo is one of those animals. The kangaroo has a well documented mean streak. If it gets a chance to give you a good sucker kick it will. This is why you never turn your back on the devious kangaroo.

Oakley is known for their glasses and sports gear. This link to the Oakley Medusa Hat &and Goggleswas sent to me yesterday. Who is this being targeted towards? It is damn expensive. $500 is a lot for a skullcap and that does not include the goggles. It would be good for Halloween, possibly skiing but seriously who would wear this? It kind of reminds me of something you would have seen in the movie Hellboy.

Heath Ledger has been found dead. That is the second young actor that has died over the last few days. Brad Renfro being the other. The cause of death isn’t known yet but I would not be surprised if drugs were somehow involved. I was never a huge fan of his but I was looking forward to seeing how he portrayed the Joker in the next Batman movie.

Two brothers in the UK are trying to form a Jedi church. The official name is the UK Church of the Jedi.

They say their services will include sermons on “the Force,” light sabre training, and meditation techniques.
Interesting. This is all well and good but the whole concept falls kind of flat without actual lightsabers and as hard as I try I have never been able to tap into the force and believe me I have tried. One time this beer can was just out of my reach. I stared at it for 20 minutes trying to get it to float to my hand. It never floated and in that 20 minutes it got warm. I don’t like warm beer so I had to get up and walk to the fridge to get a new cold one. The lesson I learned is that I don’t have the force and now my beer is warm. If I had picked it up sooner I wouldn’t have had to get up and walk to the fridge to get a new one.
My other concern is that it can only be a matter of time before someone starts their own Church of the Sith. Soon they will reveal themselves to the Jedi. Soon they will have their revenge.

Wired had an article today that an insider is saying that the failure rate for the XBox 360 is around 30%. I don’t know how credible the source is but 30% is a significant number. I would like an XBox 360 but I am not shelling out the money for a buggy console. The main reason I want one is so that I can get Rock Band. Neither items are must haves for me so I can wait out the problems.
