I have come across a lot of great costumes for infants. This is one of my favorites. It is good for a girl or a boy. All you need is a tin cup to complete the costume. Baby Mai Tai will be wearing this for Halloween. I just need an organ grinder costume for me.
On occasion I feel adventurous and like to try new foods. This was the case as I strolled through the produce department of the local grocery store. As I walked through he aisles I found a fruit I have never tried before. It was in the citrus section but looked different and had a name to match Uniq fruit. It resembled a grapefruit. A grapefruit that was 100 years old. The skin instead of being smooth was all wrinkly and thick. I smelled it and it didn’t smell bad so I thought I would try it. I took it home and proceeded to peal it. It looks like your standard citrus fruit on the inside. I can’t say that I was overly impressed with the taste. It was sweeter than I expected but it was very dry. Very little juice. Maybe my fruit was over ripe or not ripe enough I am not sure. Maybe it was perfect. One thing I can tell you is that I won’t be running out to buy another one anytime soon.
I can’t say it enough. Monkeys are awesome. Escape to Chimp Eden is one of my new favorite shows. Monkeys on display for a half hour every week. What is there not to like? The show airs on Animal Planet on Fridays. Check it out.
The Hukilau 2008 site is up and running. This year it will be held from 6/12-6/15 and according to the website this will be the last year for The Hukilau. I have never made it to Ft. Lauderdale for the event. I have been to Mai Kai but never for the Hukilau. Looks like I have one more chance to get down there if I want to experience the Hukilau.
Anyone who knows Mr. Mai Tai can you tell that I love monkeys. Especially monkeys that do things like smoke, drink hold tin cups begging for money. I can’t get enough. I am now adding monkeys that ride motorcycles in Thailands crowded streets to the list of things I like about monkeys.
Monday night Mr. Mai Tai drove downtown to Orlando to see Monday Night Raw. It was awesome. Most of the WWE stable of wrestlers came out to pay their tribute to Ric Flair. The show stopped broadcasting but the farewell went on for another 20 minutes at the arena. The Undertaker and Vince McMahon came out to say their goodbyes. I have never seen so many wrestlers out at once.
Sunday night Mr. Mai Tai got on the road and it led to Wrestlemania. This is probably the first and last time I will see a Wrestlemania. It was worth the price of admission.
