BioShock ADAM Syringe

February 27th, 2009 by Mr. Mai Tai

BioShock was the first game I played all the way through on the Xbox 360.  It is still one of my favorite games.  A graphic designer created a replica of the ADAM syringe from the Bioshock game.  This makes him in my opinion one of the best graphic designers ever.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2

January 24th, 2009 by Mr. Mai Tai

I have not had a lot of time to post.  Been busy killing terrorists on Rainbow Six Vegas 2.  I wasn’t expecting much from the game  but it is great.  If you have an Xbox 360 and want to join in you can find me under my game tag Mister Mai Tai.  I am usually the one that gets killed in the first 30 seconds.

Rock Band 2

January 19th, 2009 by Mr. Mai Tai

I received Rock Band 2 for Christmas.  I am a big Cops fan so I wanted to choose 132 & Bush as my bands name.  A pop up message appears and I was told that it is not a “classy” name and while I can use it I will not be able to use it online.  What?  I get that in some context bush might not be classy but not in this case.  I changed it to 132 & Busch and that passed the Rock Band 2 filter so I still get my name.  Take that Rock Band 2.

Cheap Video Games

January 2nd, 2009 by Mr. Mai Tai

If you are looking for some deals on used video games check out Gamefly.com. They are selling some of their inventory. Sure the games are used but they come with a new case and manual and the games are usually in pretty good condition. You can buy some pretty good games for a fraction of the cost if you were to buy it new.

Guitar Hero World Tour

November 25th, 2008 by Mr. Mai Tai

After months of selling things on ebay I finally saved up enough money to buy Guitar Hero World Tour.  I bought the whole band kit- guitar, microphone and drums.  I love the new guitar.  It doesn’t make loud clicks when you strum so you can actually hear the music and not a bunch of loud clicks.  The drum set is another matter.  I have read about sensitivity issues and now I know first hand what everyone is talking about.  The three toms are fine but the cymbals are not sensitive enough.  You have to beat the hell out of them to get it to register.  I went to a few sites and found some DIY cures but most of them required taking the drums apart.  I am pretty sure that voids the warranty.  I went to the games website and found that they have a USB midi cable so you can adjust the sensitivity.  I placed my order and I am waiting for my cable.  I will let you know how that works out once it arrives.

Top 10 Worst Atari 2600 Games

July 22nd, 2008 by Mr. Mai Tai

IGN.com has a list of the top 10 worst Atari 2600 games. I had only one of the games on the list. Number 10 Donkey Kong is the only game on the list I owned. As far as Atari 2600 games go I wouldn’t say Donkey Kong was terrible. I also had Raiders of the Lost Ark and I think that game was worse than Donkey Kong.

Mario Kart Wii

May 27th, 2008 by Mr. Mai Tai

If you have a Wii then you need this game.  I was a little skeptical when I heard about it but I have to tell you I think it is one of the best games out there for the Wii.  It comes with the Wii wheel whcih takes some getting used to but I now prefer the wheel.  You can always use a standard controller but I have become used to the feel of the wheel.  The best feature is being able to challenge people using your Wi-Fi connection.  I can race my friends and never leave the comfort of my own home.  The only thing that would make it better is a head set so I could communicate to my friends as I race.  Normally I am just yelling at my television. It would be nice to yell at them.
