I am collector of tiki mugs. My collection isn’t huge but I have my share of mugs. I stumbled across a helpful website the other day. Whether you are a veteran tiki mug collector or looking to start a collection Ooga Mooga is a site you should check out. You can post your own collection online for everyone to see. You can buy and even trade mugs. Part of it is a paid service but a lot of it is free. Cheers.

If you are looking for a tiki calendar for 2008 I suggest the Tiki Bar TV Lala 2008 Pinup Calendar. This is more of an old style pinup calendar but it does have some tiki elements. It is hard to find tiki calendars and this is probably as close as you are going to get. You can get them at The Lala Store.

I collect tiki’sbut I am not sure I would want them on my Christmas tree. I am all right with crossing themes but this just doesn’t work for me. I have bubble lights on my tree and I don’t want another themed light competing for attention. I used to have tiki bar in my living room with a thatched roof. They would have looked great having down from there. Sadly, when I pout my house up for sale the real estate agent said that the tiki bar should probably go. Apparently not everyone appreciates a good tiki bar in their living room.

I have a set of the old fashioned oil tiki torches. They are all right but they are a pain to fill with oil. That is if you remember to buy the oil for the torches. Seems like I never have any when I need it. These solar tiki toches take car of that problem. No oil needed.

I collect tiki mugs. Big ones. Small ones. Old ones. New ones. I just have to like the design. Thor is releasing a few new mugs. I think The Tussler is my favorite design of the three. The Red Devil is cool too but it isn’t tiki. Check them out at The Thor Store.

I recently went to Sea World, Orlando. Found some tiki’s there. I love tiki’s so I took a picture. This is outside one of their shops. This is a Wayne Coombs Mai Tiki carving. I didn’t see the usual Mai Tiki mark on it but it is defintely his style of work.

Halloween is quickly approaching and what holiday is complete without tikis?Extremepumkins.com has a picture of a flaming tiki pumpkin and directions on how to recreate the picture. Cool picture. Although it is not a project safe for kids. It is probably not safe for a number of adults either. If you are looking for something safer Tiki Fish has some pretty good templates available.

Halloween is approaching. Tiki torches are great but for Halloween you need something a little more sinister. These fit the bill. Skull tiki torches. Fright Catalog has these for sale.
