Just as Josh stated above back in December. He wanted to send me a Cashiers Check for $2500 more then my asking price for the item and then asked that I wire the $2500 to his “shipping company.” I decided to google his name and found this website. Thanks guys!

This is a really terrific resource of information. Another website that I find to be full of great information about problems at Craigslist is http://www.howtobeatcraigslist.uni.cc and they go into a lot of the different problems at and with Craigslist.

Yes, I recieved an email from a mark jones…who also went under oldies2222@googlemail.com..his slip up is that he didn’t care anything about the condition of my old propane tank was…what kind of an idiot would say that…then proceeded to tell me to give him all of my info, and that I could go to www.freequickwire.com and print out his check..you betcha I came looking. Thanks for seeing this page.

First he asked if my item was still available, which I responded that it was. The next email from him was as follows:

I am glad that is still available for sell, but i will not be able to come and look at it, because am out of state right now. So the payment will be made through Certified Check. And you don’t have to worry about the shipment; because the item will be pickup by my private shipping company. And i will wait for the check to clear at your bank before we proceed with the shipment. So if you are willing to sell the item for me, provide me the payee name and contact address, with your phone number, for me to mail the check.

I spent $300 dollars on supplies… i spent so many of my precious hours going to ups stores and drop boxes and getting airway bills, gluing ups labels on envelopes and writing checks that ended up being fake. it took me so much money and time to figure out that TERRY DICK is not gonna pay me back. This is a warning to anyone who may fall for this. He even sent me lists of names and bank info and it was so beleivable untill i realized he didnt want ups tracking me down. send it to a different drop box every time? why? he says just do it. I asked questions and they were not answered. I started to get a fishy feeling and then i googled every little peice of info he gave me and found forums filled with the same things happend to me. …i dont know if i did anything wrong and i hope to god i dont get in trouble for trying to work for this dick. If he tells you to get versa check program, paper, envelopes, magnetic ink and a printer. Ships you off to a different UPS every time…ITS A SCAM DONT FALL FOR IT

I just received a similar response to my items for sale. He only asked for the additional pictures, and for me to buy the versa check paper at a local stationary store. The name he used was Barry Wisdom. Hum, I wonder how wise he really is? Or how stupid he thinks that I am.
