Media Streaming on the Xbox 360

I just bought an Xbox 360. If you are looking for one and want a deal check out your local Sharper Image. They are going out of business and everything is on sale including the Xbox 360. The deal was too good to pass up so I bought one. I hooked it up last night and connected to XBox Live. My handle of course is Mister Mai Tai. Someone already snagedd Mr. Mai Tai so I had to go with the next best thing. Only problem I am having is with the media streaming. I downloaded Windows Media Player 11. I opened it up to file sharing with the Xbox. Problem is the Xbox fails when it looks for the media. I thought Zone Alarm was blocking it so I shut it down but that didn’t work. The Xbox suggests I open some ports up but with the free edition of Zone Alarm I don’t think you can open specific ports. If you can open ports I haven’t figured it out yet. In the meantime if smart readers out there with some tips to get it to connect shoot me a comment.

North Pole Melting

I have read that the North Pole is melting. People are worried about polar bears and penguins. I am concerned about them but what about Santa Claus? He is clearly the most famous resident of the North Pole and if it melts what is going to happen to his workshop? I can’t imagine he has an insurance policy on it. If Santa goes there is no point in me being good. The fear of him knowing who has been bad and good has kept me in line for years. If I am not getting my gift from Santa I am going right to the naughty list.

Star Wars Muppets

Star Wars weekends is going strong at the Disney Hollywood Studios. Just in time for the event Disney released PVC figures of the muppets characters dressed as Star Wars Characters. I have not seen them yet but I wish they were 6″ action figures and not PVC figures.

Love Seat Toilet

Think you have everything? Well you probably don’t have a toilet built for two. I guess there are people who like to do everything together. The toilet is like a love seat and lets you sit back to back so you can use the other person as support I guess. I don’t know about you but when my other half has a case of the squirts the last place I want to be is sitting right behind them.

Customized Printing

I love being able to customize and design my own stuff. I few years ago I thought that I needed business cards. I don’t really do anything but I thought that it was important that I had some. I have been in plenty of situations where you want to give someone your e-mail address or phone number and had nothing to write on. Usually I would grab a napkin or their hand and write down the information. I thought I would look a whole lot cooler with my own business cards. No more napkins for me. I just reach into my pocket and pull out my engraved card holder and give them my own personalized business card. Now I just needed to find a place to print them. I don’t like to go out a lot so I thought I would check out the internet. I came across a place that printed mailing labelsand when I looked further I found they also printed business cards, rubber stamps, announcements and car magnets. All of those printing services in one place. Extremely convenient and I didn’t have to leave my home. Even if you don’t need business cards everyone can use return address labels. Who wants to write in that information everytime you mail a letter. I know I don’t. I think that I want a car magnet next. I am not sure what I would want it to say but I think that a car magnet would be cool to have.

There are few things as delicious as bacon. If you need proof that God loves us look no further than bacon. It is a divine gift given to use to make our lives a little tastier. It is a well known fact that everything tastes better with a bit of bacon in it. I learned that in my first week of culinary school. The only problem is the time it takes to cook and than there is the mess you have to clean up. That is why I don’t eat as much bacon as I would like. That is until I found canned bacon. Fully cooked canned bacon. 40-50 slices per can and it comes in a case of 12 cans. That is 480 slices of pre-cooked pork deliciousness. According to the site canned bacon hasn’t been available for 20 years. Top scientists have been developing the next generation of canned bacon for the last two years and now it is available for purchase. It has a shelf life of 10 years so it is perfect emergency food. I am going to put a few cans in my hurricane supplies. I have ordered my case. Now any time will be the right time for bacon.

Stuck in a Portable Toilet

There are a few things I hope don’t happen to me and being stuck in a portable toilet is on that list. Soemhow a naked man in PA got stuck in and had to call 911 to help him out. Of course alcohol was involved and that explains a lot.
