Vacationing in Hawaii

June 20th, 2009 by Mr. Mai Tai

I have travelled to many places but one of my favorite vacation spots are the Hawaiian Islands.  There are plenty of places to stay and one of the hardest things for me is finding the right place.  I do a lot of research before I go on vacation so I spent a lot of time reading about Maui and Hawaii.  I want to know where to stay, what to see and what to do.  I have recently discovered that it is often less expensive to rent a vacation home.  Hotels are nice but if you have your family with you that means more rooms and more cost.  A vacation home lets you take the entire family and you can stay in a condo or a house and it is often more affordable than a hotel.  You can buy your own groceries so there is no need to eat out for every meal.  Save that money and spend it on something you really want to do like a whale watching trip or surfing lessons.  My two favorite islands are Maui and Hawaii so when it comes time to book a vacation I knew I was going to look for Maui Hawaii vacation rentals.  Renting a condo or home is the only way I go now.  Before you book your next trip I encourage you to take a look at a vacation rental listto check out your options. Hotels are nice but isn’t nicer to have a place to yourself?

Kindle DX

May 29th, 2009 by Mr. Mai Tai

Amazon just released the Kindle and now the Kindle DX is being released.  I don’t know if that would make me happy if I just bought a Kindle 2.  I think I am going to wait a bit longer before I buy one.  I want to read the reviews on the D first but I am still interested in buying one.

Mexican Coke

April 30th, 2009 by Mr. Mai Tai

Looking for Coke made from real cane sugar instead of corn syrup.  You could make a run for the border because in Mexico it is made with cane sugar.  Dr. Soda has made it easier. You won’t need a passport just a credit card. You can order Mexican Coke right from the web. I am going to get some.

ShamWow or ShamPoW!

March 28th, 2009 by Mr. Mai Tai

Looks like the pitchman for the ShamWow, Vince Shlomi has got himself into some legal trouble. The Smoking Gun has the full story with mugshots included.   He allegedly beat a prostitute after she bit his tongue.  He should consider himself lucky that his tongue was the only thing she bit.

Get Your Xbox 360 Online

March 23rd, 2009 by Mr. Mai Tai

I have an Xbox 360.  I wanted to get online but I didn’t want to spend the $89 for the Microsoft Wireless Network Adapter.   My modem is three rooms away so I couldn’t make a direct connect and I couldn’t find an easy way to get connected.  The result is that I ended up buying the Microsoft product at the inflated price.  The price has come down a little since I purchased it but I just came a across a site that will let you turn a wireless router into an Xbox adapter. I wish I had found this before I shelled out the money. As long as you have a wireless network in your house and a second wireless router you can easily get your Xbox connected. Or course if you have plenty of money you can always just but the adapter.

Cardboard Car Seat

March 16th, 2009 by Mr. Mai Tai

Make has a great article about a disposable cardboard car seat. Sadly “the man” has made it illegal to use these. Being able to make my own cardboard car seat would have saved me a fortune. Car seats are expensive.
